Brazilian Agate Bookends

BK202b  This is a very nice, smaller set of Blue (color enhanced) Brazilian Agate Geode bookends with a very different design and Crystal pattern.  The set measures 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" and has a nice polish on the front face and inner sides.

BK201b   Here is a very nice, very detailed set of Sandstone bookends from Arizona.  This set measures 7" x 5" x 4" with a natural, unpolished exterior with an interesting sculptured appearance.  These sets have a felt cushion in the center and bottom areas for additional protection.

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand size mineral or rock grains.  Most Sandstone is composed of Quartz and/or Feldspar because these are the most common minerals in the earth's crust.  It can be almost any color.  The Sandstone beds often form highly visible cliffs and are strongly identified with certain regions of the world.

Picasso Marble Bookends

BK209c  This is a nice set of Brown, Black, Grey and White Picasso Marble bookends.   This material is from Utah.  The set measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 3" and has a nice polish.  The set also has soft Grey felt on the inside and bottom to prevent scratching any surface the ends may set on.

Marble is a metamorphic rock composed mostly of Calcite.  It is used for sculpture, as a building material and other decorative items.  Zebra Marble is unique in that the colors and patterns can resemble the colors and patterns from a Zebra's coat.  It is a very pretty, high quality material that is very popular in decorating and designing homes, offices and construction.
