This is a nice carved
Frog made from Mahogany Obsidian. It measures 2" in length by 1 1/2"
in width. He is has a pretty Brown and Black mix of colors and a neat design.
Take him home quick before he hops away.
Obsidian is a rock which is a type of naturally occurring glass that
is produced by volcanoes when felsic lava cools rapidly and freezes without
sufficient time for Crystal growth. It is an extrusive igneous rock.
Because Obsidian lacks Crystal structure, the blade edges can reach almost
molecular thinness, leading to the ancient use of arrow heads and the modern
use of surgical scalpel blades.
