Goldstone is a type of man-made glass with Copper or Copper salts made by a reducing flame.  The most common form of Goldstone give the illusion of being a reddish-brown, although in fact the color comes from the Copper crystals and the glass itself is colorless.  Other variants have an intensely color matrix usually blue or violet, and more rare, green.

C405b  Here is a very pretty, soft Pink Frog carved for Rose Quartz.  She measures 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" and has a nice polish.  A great collector's item or pocket piece.

Rose Quartz is a type of Quartz which exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue.  The color is usually considered as due to trace amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese, in the massive material.  Some Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted light.

C408C  This is an adorable Squirrel carved from Brecciated Jasper.  One side of this carving has a gorgeous solid red color while the other side has the brecciated effect making a very unique carving. This carving measures 1 1/2" in length by 1" in height. Very cute!

Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that is usually red, yellow or brown in color.  Jasper can appear as an opaque rock with shades of red due to mineral impurities.  Patterns can arise from the formation process and flow patterns in the sediment or volcanic ash that was saturated with silica which formed the banding or swirling designs in the rock.

Lapis is a stone with a long tradition of being considered a gem.  It is usually deep blue in color and is opaque.  It is a rock and not a mineral as it is made up from various other minerals.  The main component is Lazurite which is a Feldspar Silicate.  Lapis may also contain Calcite, Sodalite and Pyrite.  It is found worldwide.

Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that is usually red, yellow or brown in color.  Jasper can appear as an opaque rock with shades of red due to mineral impurities.  Patterns can arise from the formation process and flow patterns in the sediment or volcanic ash that was saturated with silica which formed the banding or swirling designs in the rock.

Dalmatian Stone, or orbicular Rhyolite, is an igneous rock that was formed by lava flows on the Earth's surface.  The spots or "orbs" probably occurred when molten lava reacted with fragments of rock known as Xenoliths.  These stones are light to dark tan in color with black spots throughout.  The nickname "Dalmatian" was given to this unusual looking mineral because of its resemblance to a Dalmatian dog's spots.

C412c  This is a nice carved Frog made from Malachite.  It measures 2 1/2" x2" x  1". He has a great Green color and a really neat design.

Malachite is a Copper Carbonate mineral.  It most often forms botryoidal, fibrous or stalagmitic masses.  It is often the result of the weathering of Copper Ores and is usually found with Azurite, Goethite and Calcite.  It has a vibrant green color and each specimen has its own unique design.  Although Malachite is consider toxic, when ingested,  in the rough, natural form, it is safe to handle in its polished state.

C407b   Here is a set of five (5) Butterfly mini gemstone carvings.  This set has Butterflies in gemstones of Blue Goldstone, Red Jasper, Green Aventurine, Crystal Quartz, Sodalite, Hematite or Brown Goldstone.  Each measures 3/4" x 1" and has a nice polish.  These little gals are super cute and very detailed. 

Unfortunately there is NO additional choices other than what is listed and no choice or individual selection  in your set of five (5) Butterflies. We do guarantee a good selection however.  There are two (3) sets available.

C38b   This is a smaller Rose Quartz Frog on a Green Aventurine Lily Pad.  It measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" resting on a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" Lily Pad.  A nice addition to any collection.

C400b   This is a beautiful, Red Jasper Buffalo carving.  He measures 1 5/8" in width and 1 1/8" in height.  It has a very nice polish and design.  A great pocket piece for you or someone special.

CC39b   This is an Opalite Frog.  It measures 2" x 1" and has a nice polish.  He is very cute and it is understood in some cultures to keep a Frog close as they bring good luck.

Opalite is a trade name for a man-made precious opal imitation.  It is usually made of glass or resin.  Man-made or not, it is definitely a beautiful "gem stone" and one of my personal favorites.

Fancy Jasper Hippo

C410b  Here is something different for the Rose Quartz and/or carving collector.  This is a large Elephant made from Rose Quartz. He measures nearly 3 1/2" (at its longest) x 3 1/2" (at its tallest)  and has a good polish and really great detail. This is a great collector piece, don't let this pass you by.

C413C   This is a gorgeous Tiger Eye Dolphin. He measures nearly 2 1/2" in length by 1" in height. Very detailed and unique.

Tiger-Eye is a gemstone that is usually yellow to red-brown in color with a silky luster. This gemstone has an optical reflectance effect that arises from the fibrous structure of the material. The physical and optical properties are identical or very near to those of a single Quartz Crystal.

C404C This is a very nice, very pretty Dalmatian Stone Dog. This carving measures over 2" in height  x 1 1/2" in length with a good polish. This carving is very cute and detailed!
