$32.00 PN104b  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 18 mm x 30 mm Green striped Malachite stone.  This pendant measures 1 3/4" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4". 

Malachite is a Copper Carbonate mineral that often forms botryoidal, fibrous or stalagmitic masses.  It is often the result of the weathering of Copper Ores and is commonly found with Azurite, Goethite and Calcite.  It is typically associated with Copper deposits including Limestone which is the source of the Carbonate.  Malachite is found in many regions world wide and is usually shaded green in color.

$27.00 PN105c  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 20 mm x 30 mm oval Carnelian stone.  This pendant measures 2 1/4"" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 3/8".  The stone is set in a lovely sterling silver designer setting.  A nice touch.

Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of Chalcedony but also may come in the colors of orange and pink.  It is quite common and usually found in translucent pebble form.  It is found in several areas of Europe, Iceland and Madagascar.

$26.00 PN110b  This is a very nice Goldstone pendant set in a sterling silver setting.  The cabochon measures 27 mm x 20 mm.  This pendant measures over 2" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4".

Goldstone is a type of synthetic glass made with Copper or Copper Salts in the presence of a reducing flame.  Under normal conditions, Copper ions meld into the Silica to produce transparent bluish-green glass.  When it cools, the Copper forms precipitates into small crystalline clusters.  The finished product can take a smooth polish and be carved into beads, figurines or other artifacts suitable as a semi-precious stone and is often mistaken for a natural material.

$35.00 PN102c  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 20 mm x 32 mm Moonstone Cabochon with a very nice setting.  This pendant measures 1 3/4" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 3/8".

Moonstone is a typical Potassium Aluminum Silicate with several commonalities with the Feldspar family.  It's name is derived from the visual effect or sheen that is caused by light reflecting internally and externally from the layer inclusions of different Feldspars.  Moonstone is closely related to Sunstone, Labradorite and Sodalite.

$45.00 PN106c  Here is a very nice Amber pendant resting in a very nice, rather interesting sterling Silver setting.  The Amber cabochon measures 27 mm x 30 mm.  This pendant measures 2" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 3/8".

Amber is the common name for the fossil resin or tree sap that is appreciated for its inherent and interesting mixture of color.  It is widely used for the manufacture of ornamental objects including jewelry.  Although it is not mineralized, it is sometimes considered and used as a gemstone.  Most of the world's Amber is in the range of 30-90 million years old.

$35.00 PN108c  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 20 mm x 32 mm Blue Lapis stone.  This pendant measures 2" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 3/8". 

Lapis is a stone with a long tradition of being considered a gem.  It is usually deep blue in color and is opaque.  It is a rock and not a mineral as it is made up from various other minerals.  The main component is Lazurite which is a Feldspar Silicate.  Lapis may also contain Calcite, Sodalite and Pyrite.  It is found worldwide.

$28.00 PN107c  Here is something different from the Rock Shed's jewelry department.  This is a very nice, above average quality 20 mm x 26 mm Seraphenite pendant with a sterling Silver setting.  The pendant measures 1 3/4" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 3/8".

Seraphenite is a rare, dark green mineral from eastern Siberia in Russia.  It has a unique fibrous spreading pattern with a surface that demonstrates an approximation of opalization.  It is also known as Clinochore which is a chlorite Mica.

$22.00 PN103b  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 14 mm x 20 mm sparkly Moonstone cabochon.  This stone has nice Blue and Purple iridescence.  This pendant measures 1 1/4" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4".

Moonstone is a gemstone quality Feldspar.  It has a sparkly appearance that is caused by light reflecting off flakes of Hematite.  Moonstone is sometimes known as Orthoclase due to the cleavages in the material and pearly luster.  It is commonly found in most Granites and other felsic igneous rock and in Pegmatite masses.

$20.00 PN101b  Here is a nice, tear shaped Rose Quartz sterling Silver pendant.  The cabochon measures 21 mm x 21 mm. The pendant measures 1 3/8" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4".  This would make a nice gift for the lovely lady in your life.

Rose Quartz is a type of Quartz which exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue.  The color is usually considered as due to trace amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese, in the massive material.  Some Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted light.

$18.00 PN100b  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with an interesting inlaid Abalone Shell quadruple heart pattern.  This pendant measures 1 1/2" x 7/8" with a pretty Pink and Blue hearts.  The bail size is 1/4".

Abalone are a group of shellfish with large shells.  These shells are composed of material which is highly iridescent which gives rise to a range of strong and changeable colors making them very attractive as decorative objects including jewelry.  The colors vary from species to species but the iridescent nacre that lines the inside of the shell can range from silvery white, to pink, red and green-red, deep blues, greens and purples.

$24.00 PN109b  This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant with a 24 mm x 16 mm Black, Grey and White Dendritic Agate stone.  This pendant measures 1 7/8" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the setting.  The bail size is 1/4". 

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava.  The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.
