This is a nice polished End Cut from an Utah Septarian Nodule. It measures
5 5/8" x 6 1/2" x 3". This specimen has lots of Brown Aragonite with contrasting
Yellow Calcite in a very nice crystal cavity. The face has a nice polish.

Septarians are commonly composed of a carbonate mineral such as Calcite,
a microcrystalline form of Silica as in Flint or Jasper, or an Iron Oxide
such as Hematite. These specimens are also known as a concretion which
is a type of sedimentary rock.
Septarians were formed millions of years ago by sediment forming around
a fossil to create a mud ball transforming the fossil into Calcite and Aragonite.

Here is something different for the polished rock collector.
This is an extra large, above average quality Picasso Marble Bear. He
measures 11 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 1 1/2" and has a nice polish. This larger

Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting of Limestone but composed mostly
of Calcite. It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials
and has many decorative uses. The pure white Marble is probably the
most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of many colored
Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as Clay,
Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert.

nice Sphere carved from a Septarian Nodule. This material is from Madagascar.
It measures over 2 3/4" with a nice polish. The sphere has pretty Yellow
Calcite and Brown Aragonite. A must have for any collection.

Here is a larger, beautiful Septarian Stand up
or Free Form. It has very nice Yellow Calcite and accents of Brown Aragonite
and a beautiful crystal cavity. It measures 6 1/2" x 6 3/4" x 3" and
has felt on the bottom to protect surfaces from being marred. The Stand
up has a very nice polish and would make a great gift. A very
nice display piece for the Septarian collector.

This very nice Buffalo is carved from Septarian Nodule from Utah.
He measures 3 3/4" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/8" and has a good polish. The Buffalo has
three sparkly crystal cavities. The larger one is shown on the left side in
the picture to the right. Just a great representation of the Bison and

This is a pretty Brown and Black Buffalo carved from Picasso Marble
which originates in Utah. It measures nearly 3 7/8" nose to tail and
2 5/8" tall. It has a nice polish and is 1" in thickness. A beautiful

a Septarian Nodule. This Septarian Frog is extra nice quality and measures
3 1/8" x 2 1/8" x over 1 1/4". The frog has a great polish and
is very cool!
