SP302c Here is a very interesting Poly Chrome Jasper sphere. It measures 2 1/2" and has a
very interesting fish scale like pattern and an interesting blend of
colors. Something different! Jasper, or spotted stone, is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that
is usually red, yellow or brown in color. Some Jaspers simultaneously
exhibit several variants such as banding, flow patterns, dendrites or
color variations. This results in what appears to be scenes or images in
a cut section of the Jasper.

Fluorite, also known as fluor-spar, is a mineral
composed of Calcium Fluoride. It is a widely occurring mineral and is
often found with metallic minerals such as Galena and Sphalerite, but also
with Barite, Quartz and Calcite. It may fluoresce strongly in ultraviolet
light. Although blue is the most common color, it can also be red,
purple, green, yellow and white.

SP307c
This is an extra large multi-colored Chinese Marble sphere. This sphere
measures 8" in diameter and has a nice polish. The sphere has various
shades of Black, Gray, and White which enhances its character.
Close observation will reveal an exterior fracture that runs around the majority
of the sphere. Although it does not distract from the overall appearance
of the sphere, we have reduced the price to reflect the flaw. It weighs
nearly 23 lbs. This is a very heavy sphere and will ship by itself regardless
of the size of any order placed.

Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting of Limestone but composed mostly
of Calcite. It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials
and has many decorative uses. The pure white Marble is probably the
most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of many colored
Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as Clay,
Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert.

Here is a very nice Honey Calcite sphere with lots of reflective inclusions.
It measures nearly 2 3/8" in diameter. The sphere has a soft Gold-Honey color.
Just beautiful! Calcite is a Carbonate mineral that is most widely distributed on the
Earth's surface. It is a common constituent of sedimentary rocks with
Limestone in particular. A Calcite formation can take on many different
shapes and sizes which is dependent on the location, ground water occurrence
and temperature. Calcite is usually white or colorless but can be gray,
red, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown or black. The deeper the color
is usually indicative of the definitive impurities from the earth or water.

SP308c Here is a very nice Petrified Wood sphere
from Indonesia. It measures
over 3 3/4" and has a
matte polish. This sphere some flat areas from being hand ground,
and also has some fill areas. Very unique and would complete any
collection.
Petrified Wood is a type of a fossil as it consists of fossil wood
where all the organic materials have been replaced with minerals while
retaining the original structure of the wood. These minerals are most
often Silicates such as Quartz. Other minerals, Manganese, Iron and
Copper, in the water or mud during the petrification process gives
Petrified Wood a variety of color ranges: black - Carbon; green/blue -
Copper; red/brown/yellow - Iron. Petrified Wood can preserve the original
structure of the wood in all its detail all the way down to the
microscopic level. Structures such as tree rings and the various tissues
are often observed features. Although Petrified Wood can be found
worldwide, it is rather rare in larger quantities and at times can be
difficult to obtain by the average collector.

SP304b Here is a new item and a very different sphere. This is a very
nice Green Tree Agate sphere from India. It measures 3 1/4" and has a good blend of colors. There are many
natural cavities scattered about adding to the character of this material. Very nice.

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing
silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in
the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting
in the banded or striped formation.

chromium element. The Ruby is considered one of the four precious stones, together with the sapphire, the emerald, and the diamond. Rubies were found for centuries
in Burma. They have also been found in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Madagascar,
Vietnam, Nepal and Pakistan. Rubies have been found in the US states of
